Creating Fall Tablescapes

Nature IndoorsBack in the day when I had deep thoughts and more time I would await with great anticipation for the cool Northern breeze to come and sweep away the hot South Carolinian summers.  I would lie under a large tree with a book and ponder life as I watched the leaves frolic in the air.

Now fast forward 10 years later, living in a country where there is no Fall season and 3 children later I am happy with just bringing Nature inside our home.  Though I do miss those days of pondering life under a big oak tree, rolling in the leaves and when basically my world revolved around only me I wouldn’t change what I have now. My cup runs over with a home full of boys and my man. I wait in the morning by the stairs to get my kiss and hugs from them before they walk out the door.

Fall Tablescapes using Nature

Dried twigs, pinecones, eucalyptus buds, spanish moss, dried navy beans, Sunflowers, tree trunk slabs and a little creativity go a long way in our home during this Fall season. We went on a nature walk with our boys and picked up as much of those things that we could and the rest was bought.

I love using nature in design. My son is quite helpful in picking up acorns and sticks on a daily basis ;) Thanks for sharing at Taking A Timeout Thursday!
