Easiest Ice Cream Recipe Ever

Contributing Writer: Heather Kinnaird

Summer is in full swing.

Here in California that often means H.O.T.

As much as I enjoy being in the kitchen, I LOVE days when the oven never gets turned on.

One of the easiest summer treats {even the kids can do this one} is ice cream.

You don’t even need an ice cream maker. The base is very simple.

Easiest Ice Cream Ever recipe:

  • 2 cup of  heavy cream
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

Instructions:

  1. whip the cream until you have firm peaks
  2. gently fold in the sweetened condensed milk and the vanilla

That’s all there is to it!

Now….the fun part.

You can add anything you want

m&m’s,

snickers,

crushed cookies,

or cookie dough.

Our favorite is to add 1/2 cup of peanut butter and 1/2 cup of chopped peanut butter cups to the base.  Just freeze for at least 4-6 hours.

Scoop and enjoy!
