Water Balloon Piñata

water balloon pinata

Some days are so hot that my kids don’t even want to play outside.  When we used to live in hot Texas I didn’t even want to go get the mail only a few feet away from my front door because it was so hot.

This activity definitely helped beat the heat and it was really fun.  It was actually not as easy as I envisioned.  My kids were a bit timid because they knew what would happen once they hit it so it took a few hits before they busted the Water Balloon Piñata.

All you need for this super easy and fun activity is balloons, water, string and a stick.

We filled up the balloons with water and hung them from the tree.  I didn’t have any balloons pop from just hanging but I guess it can happen depending on how full or how thin the balloons are.

And we joined in the fun!
