Deliciously Easy Hot Chocolate Mix

hot chocolate mix recipe

My family loves hot chocolate! If they could have it every morning they would but I don’t let them.  My husband goes through phases when he has it every night.

I made this creamy hot chocolate recipe one year to give to teachers for Valentine’s Day and my husband tried it and he was in love!  Since he was a teacher for over 10 years and has received many batches of homemade hot chocolate mix I must say there are ways to go wrong with this recipe.  It’s easy but you have to have the right amounts of chocolate and sugar otherwise you end up with something not so tasty.

But then he had a parent give him (he’s a principal) a hot chocolate mix jar and he came home wanting it every single day.  I liked it, it was rich and creamy but it wasn’t chocolatey enough for me so this is my tweaked version of his favorite hot chocolate recipe.

This recipe is also great for making in batches of the dry mix and giving it as a gift in a mug or jar!

1. Mix all of the above ingredients in a ziploc bag and shake.
