This Mom Needs a Relaxing Tea Bath!

  relaxing tea bath

I have three kids.

Not to mention, they are all boys. All under 10 years old.

Some days their energy is more than I can handle and their bedtime can’t come any sooner.  This day in particular has been extremely stressful with work and at home.

Neighbor seems to think I’m her nanny and keeps sending, her whiny little toddler over.

The dog keeps chasing after the neighbors house guest. Neighbor is not very happy with us.

Children throwing trash cans around the house, with trash in them.

An overwhelming amount of whining and tattle tattling around our house today.

Most evenings around 8p.m. you can find me sitting in my comfy office chair sipping my hot soothing tea, in SILENCE. Hallelujah, for silence.  All I can hear are my fingers tapping away on the computer as I try to unwind and find inspiration for my writing deadlines.

And when I’m too stressed out, take a relaxing hot bath. My close friends know how I get some “me” time in even in the midst of chaos I manage to squeeze in a relaxing hot shower.  So, I was ecstatic when I recently discovered the amazing Tea Bath! Not only can I drink my soothing tea but now I can relax and soak in it! Bigelow take me away!

The lovely thing about the Bigelow green tea bath is that it’s easy. The last thing you need for your stress free mom time is running around the house trying to find tons of ingredients. You can use any tea for your relaxing bath: mint, chamomile or mix them up. My personal favorite is Bigelow mint tea. Not only is it quality “strong” tea but it’s family owned. I grew up in a family owned business so I have a special spot in my heart for family owned businesses.

I was just confessing to my friends that I recycle my tea bags so that’s my own little way of enjoying and protecting our planet. I highly recommend not trashing your tea bags instead save them up and toss them in your bath to use that evening.

It’s Earth Day week so give it a try. The Bigelow company also cares about the environment, the community and wellness. I especially love their mission of sustainability and green living. One of their ongoing programs is called SustainabiliTea, which works hard to protect our planet and environment. Did you know that Bigelow Tea packaging is 85% biodegradable or recyclable?  I love that they are a zero waste company!  I appreciate companies that make efforts to improve the world we live in. Read more about their SustainabiliTea program!
