Fall Snack with Edible Paint
Last weeks preschool theme which I haven’t blogged about (sorry it was a CRAZY week with lots of drama) was on All Things Fall and P is for Pumpkin.
It was also my week to host our preschool co-op so I made lots of pumpkin shaped pb & j’s for the kiddos. I wasn’t planning on painting them but then I remembered that years ago when I first started blogging I shared on my other blog our edible paint recipe. My kids enjoyed painting their toast, actually they loved painting their toast.
It’s so easy to mix all you need are two ingredients!
Edible Paint Recipe
- 1/4 cup of sweet condensed milk
- 2 drops of orange food coloring (you’ll have to mix the yellow and red to get orange)
1. Mix it up and find a paint brush that hasn’t been used on paint.
2. Paint the toast and then toast it in the toaster oven so it’s not soggy (my kids like to put lots of paint on it) also toasting it makes the colors a bit brighter.
Enjoy your P is for Pumpkin Pb & J toast!
