Valentine’s Day Easy Dessert: Heart Skewers

With this Valentine’s Day Easy Dessert: Heart Skewers treat your kids will think you’re amazing!

heart skewers

Sometimes I just don’t have the time or energy to go all out but I still like and want to make the holidays special for our family.  My secret on how to do this is to mix homemade with store bought ingredients.   I bought heart shaped marshmallowey type of candy and shaped my fresh strawberries to look like  hearts.  Instead of chopping the ends straight off, like I usually do I chopped them off in a V-shape so they look like hearts.

Valentine’s Day is a fun holiday that I like to use to remind my children that “LOVE” is a verb! It’s not just about romantic feelings you have for someone but it’s an action. I enjoy integrating our values and faith into this holiday by making it fun for our kids with our family traditions. Here are 8 fun ways we enjoy Valentine’s Day as a family.

See, I told you it was easy!  These skewers were a special dessert for my kids but we’ve also enjoyed them as a Valentine’s Day dessert with chocolate fondue.  Which they oohed and aahed about. I always love when I get those kinds of reactions from something that didn’t take me very long to whip up.

Follow along so you don’t miss our fun Valentine’s Day post and other great projects, recipes, home decor…. via your favorite social network :Twitter,Pinterest or Facebook and our readers preferred way via email.
