These bars are
A few of my friends decided to get off white food(pasta, potatoes, sugar, bread…) for 3 days. It’s been hard not to enjoy food with refined sugar. But it has helped me think through what is going into my mouth before it goes in, it’s amazing how many times in these past three days I’ve stopped myself because it either was made with white flour or had white sugar in it.
Anyways, this was my go to sugar craving snack. It’s been a lifesaver!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars Skinny & Gluten Free
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1 dark chocolate 72% chocolate bar
- 1/2 natural peanut butter
- 1/3-1/2 cup honey (you can decide how sweet you want it)
- 1/4 cup crushed peanuts
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Place your coconut oil, honey, pb and chocolate bar in a large microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds at a time until it’s melted. Make sure you move it around, every time you check it.
Place the remaining ingredients: oats, vanilla and peanuts. Mix well. Pour into an 8X8 pan and place in fridge until it hardens–at least 2 hours.
