Halloween Fun Food – Silly Pumpkin Snack

Halloween Fun Food – Silly Pumpkin Snack

I have been making Mandarin pumpkins for our Halloween parties for over 7 years now! They are a hit and easy to make not to mention--healthy. Usually I just fill a huge vase with the mandarins and use it as decor for our party table and the kids get to grab one when they are needing a snack before the actual food is served. You can have so much fun with mandarins.  We used some optional props this year for our silly pumpkins.  These are so fun and goofy! We are working on orange, circle ... continue reading...

Fall Snack: Pumpkin Apple Sauce Crockpot Recipe

Fall Snack: Pumpkin Apple Sauce Crockpot Recipe

Well, this happened on accident but I always welcome delicious mishaps in the kitchen.  It was supposed to be Pumpkin Apple Butter but too much apple juice was added so it turned into pumpkin flavored apple sauce. I loved how easy it was to make our no peel apple sauce crockpot recipe and this was just as easy. It's been the perfect fall snack for my kiddos and I don't mind some myself. Pumpkin Apple Sauce Crockpot Recipe 3 cups of pumpkin chunks from a whole pumpkin or 1.5 cups of ... continue reading...

Pumpkin French Toast Rolls

Pumpkin French Toast Rolls

Amazing is the only word I can think of to describe these Pumpkin French Toast Rolls for breakfast!  Seriously amazing! I'm definitely making this again, they are perfect for brunch with the family or a special Saturday morning breakfast. And I would even venture to say they are sweet enough to enjoy as dessert. Though I made mine with only the cinnamon and sugar coat on it and I didn't add syrup when I served it to the kiddos. I've noticed that my kiddos are hungry a lot sooner when ... continue reading...

Pumpkin Investigation Activities

Pumpkin Investigation Activities {Science & Art} We went to the market and picked out our pumpkins!  The kids have been begging me to get pumpkins so we did, I'm not sure if they'll make it until Halloween. This whole week we focused on all things pumpkin in our homeschool.  The kids loved it and hopefully they learned a little bit more about the life cycle of pumpkins. The fun thing is I was able to integrate the boys lessons with my preschooler because a lot of it was so hands on and ... continue reading...

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer My husband has been raving about his homemade coffee creamer he made and since I'm not a coffee drinker I haven't really paid attention to it. But tonight I wish I had because it's a chilly fall evening and my bones are calling out for something comfortable and warm--pumpkin spice coffee or tea.  Have you tried creamer with tea?  It's good. Well, lucky me the hubby is in the other room baking cookies with the kiddos. I asked him what makes his creamer so good, ... continue reading...
