We don’t have Starbucks here where we are at. I know, I give you permission to feel sorry for me. Holidays are the times when I grieve my loss. Those special Holiday drinks are just calling my name.
What do you do when you can buy it?
Well, in our home, we make it. Here is my attempt of my wannabe Pumpkin Spice Latte. I found a couple of recipes online and took something from all of them and came up with my own version.
I am sharing this recipe and story over at Service is Painless. I had the pleasure of “meeting” DeAnn Payne from Service Is Painless a couple of weeks ago and I love the heart behind her blog. She is a fabulous photographer and instead of getting paid for her work the client does a service project in return and she post that on her blog. Isn’t that a beautiful concept. Well, one of the series she has going on over at her place is the Dish and Serve Project.
This is how Dish and Serve works: you make a dish or baked good and then you decide who you want to share that with, as an act of kindness. DeAnn asked me to be a part of this and I couldn’t resist.
Stop over at her place for my Dish and Serve article.
Here’s the cute printable that you can attach to the fun Pumpkin Spice Latte gift!

Please note: If you want a stronger coffee flavor just add more coffee or if you want it not to be so sweet add less sugar. Tweak it to your liking. The first time I made it, I didn’t measure any of the spices. When I served it to my husband he said, “this is really strong.” I guess ground cloves is not one of those spices you want to add to much of and for that matter, neither is nutmeg. All that to say make sure you measure, so you don’t get spice happy and end up having to dilute it. (Not that I did this, ha.) This recipe will make 6-8 cups depending on the size of your mug.
