Are you wondering what to do with your left over candy canes or all those candy canes that are half off at the store? Well, this Candy Cane Dip recipe will not let you down! Make it for your New Years or Christmas festivities.
I’ve had to hide this in my fridge because it’s addictive. I’m eating it with apples so that makes it less fattening, right. I made this for my son’s recital and it was a big hit. But I did learn that you have to refrigerate the dip so it’s not so soft. It tasted fine soft but I like the thicker texture.
Candy Cane Dip
ingredients
- 1 package Cream cheese (soft)
- 2 candy canes crushed
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
optional: 3 tablespoons plain yogurt and mint extract (I like mine really minty so I added mint extract.)
1. Mix cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl and cream together. If you want it sweeter add more powdered sugar.
2. Add your crushed candy canes and place in the fridge to cool.
Voila, it’s ready! Now wasn’t that easy!
