Get Them to Brush Without a Fuss

toothbrush

With my little ones it was always a daily battle to get them to brush their teeth. I thought seriously kids we do this every day. I just don’t get it. Why does it come as a complete surprise that we are brushing our teeth once again in the morning after we’ve done it for 200 days in a row!

Getting your littles to brush their teeth can be exhausting! If you have kiddos, you know exactly what I mean when I say, “I got my morning workout this morning trying to get Johnny to brush his teeth.”  Running around chasing a toddler full of energy all the while he squeals with glee because he thinks he’s gotten away with not brushing his teeth.  Oh, parenting can be so fun!

Get Them to Brush Without a Fuss

Here’s my trick that finally worked–find something that distracts them for two minutes.  I would sing a very animated made up song to help make the time go by quickly–he loved it!  I also suggest putting on a short video for 2 minutes and let them brush away.  Seriously, time flies by. They didn’t have this for my first two children but now they have this awesome toothbrush that helps distract them–Philips Sonicare for Kids. Seriously, these brushes are awesome!

brush without fuss

The Phillips Sonicare for Kids Power Toothbrush has an awesome toothbrush that does just that–distracts and educates.  Your kids keep engaged while they learn how to brush independently. The Phillips Sonicare for Kids Power Toothbrush interacts with a fun and educational app that helps kids brush better and for longer.  It helps ensure kids brush for the recommended time, and you can keep up with their progress on the parent mode of the app.

Phillips Sonicare for Kids is safe and gentle on teeth and gingival tissue, while removing more plaque in hard-to-brush areas than a children’s manual toothbrush. Ninety-eight percent of parents say it’s easier to get kids to brush longer and better.  My little Sophia had so much fun discovering the app. this is so much easier then flipping through videos trying to find one that will grab her attention. Now she looks forward to brushing her teeth and it’s less of a hassle to get her to actually brush for the suggested time.

We have had tooth drama with a couple of our kids when they were younger and I always felt guilty for not taking better care of their teeth…. but honestly, sometimes kids just have bad teeth! Thankfully my youngest 1 year old LOVES toothbrushes and is obsessed with brushing!
