We love rainbows!  And with St. Patricks Day & Spring just around the corner, these colors are making us happy.  These headbands are easy to make.

Rainbow Headband
Supplies: tulle, our glue gun, a blank headband, and a scrapbook embellishment.
I used three different sizes.  The biggest  was 2″ in diameter, the middle was 1 1/2″ in diameter and the smallest was a little bigger than 1″. The picture below looks fuzzy, but it is actually just layers of tulle cut out and laid on top of each other.

I cut out 2 medium flowers of red,

2 medium flowers of orange,

3 medium flowers of yellow,

12 medium flowers of green,

12 large flowers of blue,

and 3 small flowers of purple.

The following are instructions and images are from www.jonesdesigncompany.com:

I made a medium green poof:

And a large blue poof:
Then I glued them on the headband, off centered.
Next, I folded the purple flowers that I cut out into fourths and tucked it under the blue poof and glued it on.
I did the same with yellow and glued it onto the side of the green poof.
Then I added the orange petals:
And lastly I added the red:
Then, for fun, I glued this sparkly “thing” in the middle of the blue poof.  It is from the scrap booking aisle.  I also had a bazillion glue threads to pull off!
Ta-da!   For my daughter that is a brunette, the headband is hidden in her hair and the colors pop out!  Perfect for Spring!
