Strawberries and Sweet Lemon Cream Sauce

sweet lemon cream sauce

I want to introduce you to my “Rock Your World Sweet Lemon Cream Sauce.”  This sauce is so versatile!

I use it to pour on fresh fruit, like lemon curd for my toast, over fruit trifle, fondue, pound cake….. the possibilities are endless.  And most importantly it took less than 10 minutes to make!

All you lemon lovers, are you ready for your world to be rocked?

Sweet Lemon Cream Sauce

created in my cocina (kitchen)

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cp Sweet Condensed milk or for a lighter version use low fat vanilla yogurt
  • lemon zest
  • 1/2 cp of lemon juice

1. In a medium bowl add all the ingredients and stir until it’s smooth and creamy or 5min.

2.   I served it as a fondue to dip our pound cake slices, pretzels and fruits.

Keep in an air tight container in fridge. I also shared it using cornstarch and cooking it over med low heat for 8 minutes but I didn’t like the consistency of what happened to the hot creamy mixture when I added the lemon.

Yes, totally easy. I just updated it and added the cornstarch, milk and butter so it will thicken almost like lemon curd.
