Protein Snack Recipes to Get You Through the Day

protein snack recipes

Protein is what gives us that energy boost we need in the middle of the day, so it’s smart to snack on protein instead of high in content sugar snacks.  Though I would give you thumbs up for eating a carrot over a chocolate bar, know that certain healthy foods are high in sugar-carrots, apples, bananas, orange juice (really any juice esp. if it’s not fresh), raisins, dried fruit… So if you’re trying to avoid that sugar spike that leaves you feeling blah and hungry after an hour then stick to more protein filled snacks.

Don’t worry I’m not talking about snacking on a piece of beef.  I have some delicious recipes you can enjoy to help you on those days where you need a little something, something. These are perfect to aid in curbing the hunger until your next main meal.

I’m especially liking that peanut butter chocolate protein bar. So, I’m going to start with that recipe.  Also, some of them are from the Silk website and they have all that wonderful nutritional information.
