We are kicking off our 30 Days of Play Challenge this week by featuring 10 Fun Kid Activities plus a BUNCH more at the end of this post! I’m so excited to get started on this, as this is something I’ve been needing to do for myself, my kids and I even think it will be an encouragement in my marriage. If you missed the details of 30 Days of Play Challenge you can read how to get involved here. It’s really simple and our hope is to encourage each other along the way with ideas, activities and inspiration. Join our FREE Facebook Group Carpe Diem- Family Style.
I have teamed up with some other wonderful blogging ladies to bring you todays first five days of the 30 Days of Play Challenge via Mom’s Library. Mom’s Library is a weekly giveaway and link party. It is meant to be a great resource for moms, and it is chalked full of ideas to bring inspiration to your day. I’m hoping you will utilize everything that Mom’s Library has to offer as you peruse all of the fabulous ideas that are linked up.
As I mentioned before you can choose to do 30 days of play however you want. I’m all about tweaking things so they work for you and your family so mix up the activities however, you wish and doing them once or five times a week. I’m doing two days a week. What are you going to do? I will start off our challenge with a Mom Mantra, Mom Tip and then our activities.
Don’t forget to use the hashtag #30DaysofPlay and share about your time together on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter or whatever other favorite social media you use. Play is contagious so let others know and inspire them to do the same by sharing this post, so they can join along in the play! Also, use our 30 Days of Play Activities list here so you can jot down the ideas you want to incorporate in your day.
Here are the fun activities, I will share 2 for each day. One is for younger kids and the other is for older kids (though I think they can be interchangeable if you modify them):
Mom Mantra:
Comparison is the thief of joy. So stop looking at what your mom friends are doing with their kiddos and focus on what you want to accomplish with your children.

Let them get dirty! Especially while crafting and playing, it’s all a part of the fun and experience for them.
