How to Get Better Brighter Photos In Low Light

January 10, 2014 by Inspired by Family Mag

In the past, on this kind of cloudy day I would've just waited for a sunnier day to take my blogging pictures.  But then there were those times I couldn't wait because I was taking pictures of our dinner meal that wasn't ready until the evening and only using our awful kitchen fluorescent lighting.  So, I quickly realized I needed to figure this manual thing out. You'll be so proud of yourself when you stop using the flash for indoor pictures.  Of course, there are professional flashes and … [Read more...]

DIY Christmas Decor: Santa Wreath

December 8, 2013 by Inspired by Family Mag

We have been "decking the halls" in our home with lots of Christmas cheer! My 6 year old still enjoys crafting so he is usually my little helper and today we made this Santa wreath and a fun little nativity scene using toilet paper rolls and scrap fabric.  They both turned out adorable and I can't wait to show you the nativity scene. This DIY Christmas Decor: Santa Wreath was super easy and inexpensive to make it's also perfect for those little hands that like to craft in your home. In fact, … [Read more...]

Just because we're already into the month of December don't let that discourage you from starting an Advent calendar.  Who says you have to start them on the first of the month. Advent Calendar Using TP … [Read more...]

December 1, 2013 by Inspired by Family Mag

Today we spent our day decorating our Christmas tree!  We had so much fun picking out a tree yesterday and today we finally got around to making it pretty.  I walked into my house after church and I was blasted by the smell of ever green pines. That's one of the many reasons we love to buy a fresh Christmas tree. Don't miss any of our post and  follow along via:  Pinterest or Facebook and our readers preferred way via email. I recently made this to go with one of my new favorite Christmas … [Read more...]

Chipotle Pumpkin Hummus

November 19, 2013 by Inspired by Family Mag

I love chipotle and I try to sneak it in to as many recipes as possible.  Though the smoky and tangy flavor is not one you can truly "sneak" in without someone noticing.  This Chipotle Pumpkin Hummus is the perfect way to get your family to enjoy some healthy snacking.  In my opinion, if you don't add too much chipotle seasoning all it does to the hummus is give it a smoky flavor which some of you may prefer. I was asked to write a recipe for one of the brands I've been working for this month … [Read more...]
