Simple Summer Snack: Jello Pirate Ship Cups

June 20, 2013 by Inspired by Family Mag

I had been planning my sons 8th Pirate party in my head for months before his birthday.  Mostly because there are so many things I can't find in this country so I have to pick them up in the summer 9 months before his birthday.  So that means that in our house for 9 months I have requests from my boys on: party decor, who they want there, what kind of treats and games they want... I love how this party turned out! Thankfully, my mother-in-law traveled down to visit us for their birthdays. … [Read more...]

DIY Grilling Gift Set: Meat Rub Recipes & Printable

June 15, 2013 by Inspired by Family Mag

I don't know about you but I have the worst luck in picking a good line to stand in. I stop and observe the lines, the people and the how much is in everyone's cart but even with all that I still always pick the lane where the lady in front of me … [Read more...]

Father’s Day: DIY Grilling Gift Set

June 15, 2013 by Inspired by Family Mag

I usually have my husband's gifts planned way in advance but lately our life has been a roller coaster and I haven't had time to get anything together until today. I definitely don't want to go the route I did last year ,I shared it here I Can't Believe I Did This for Father's Day. My husband is hard to shop for but this year he told me he wanted a gas grill.  I was thrilled to know exactly what he wanted, so I started doing my price and brand research.  Soon after, we had some friends tell … [Read more...]

Encouraging Our Kids to Tattle

June 14, 2013 by Inspired by Family Mag

Featured Contributor: Teri Newburn "Go see what your sister is doing!"  I love to send my 3-year old son running through the house to track down his crawling, mischievous 11-month old sister.  Is she playing with the toilet brush?  Is she pulling apart my cell phone? Is she climbing into the dryer?  (If she sees me, she'll cry and want to be picked up, so I prefer to send my son.)  I ask him to "tattle" at least once a day. In a couple of years, I won't have to ask anymore.  I'll … [Read more...]
