For the most part I can say it has been such a wonderful learning experience for our whole family to live in another culture that is not our own. Though I must be honest, some days a trip to the grocery store has me silently screaming out of frustration.
I love all of the bright and festive colors this group of indigenous indians wear in Ecuador. The indigenous indians here wear their traditional clothing on a daily basis with pride. The colors of their clothing, accessories and hair style, distinguish them from the other indigenous groups, though sometimes the styles overlap. I really don’t know much about the indigenous groups though we had a neat opportunity a couple of months ago to spend a two days with a Kichwa family and do life with them. It was quite fascinating to watch, experience and listen to their stories of life as Kichwa Indians.
We have the joy of calling home, Ecuador, where we serve as missionaries at an International Christian School, amongst other things.
