Edible Christmas Tree {Healthy Fun Food}

The last time I made a fun snack with our preschool group they all LOVED it so I thought I would start us off with some fun food Christmas snack this time around.

christmas fun food

This week for our preschool theme I chose–Christmas Trees.  So when I hosted our co-op preschool group we enjoyed lots of Christmas tree activities and learned about the evergreen trees.

This healthy fun food is also great for a teachers to enjoy with their students because it doesn’t involve a stove. But I would recommend cutting the apples before hand and soaking them in lemon juice. I didn’t have any so my apples were quickly turning brown on me.

Edible Christmas Tree {Healthy Fun Food}

Ingredients:

  • Green apples
  • cranberries
  • pretzels
  • cheddar cheese

1.  Core apples and then slice them.

2. Soak them in a teaspoon of lemon juice.

3. Place them on a plate as shown in picture and then add the cranberries which are the ornaments.

4. Add cheese triangles for the star or if you have a small star cookie cutter use that to cut the cheese (tee, hee, hee).

5. Then end with some pretzel sticks for the tree trunk.
