Every time I’ve ever brought this to a party it gets all eaten up. Well, until this past weekend when I took it to a Halloween party without chilling it first. It wasn’t as amazing. So I highly recommend chilling it after making it.
I’m proud to say that last year this recipe got picked up by Yahoo! Shine so you may have also seen it on there. It’s the flavor of apple pie without all the work!
The Best Apple Pie Dip Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 diced apples, cooked (see below for instructions)
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1-2 tsp cinnamon
- 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp of nutmeg
- 3 tbsp brown sugar, or more if you want it sweeter
- 1 tsp vanilla
How to cook the apples:
Place diced apples in a small saucepan over medium heat with 2 tablespoons of water and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and cinnamon for 5 minutes until slightly softened. Let the apples cool.
Meanwhile, place all of the other ingredients in a bowl and whip. Your cream cheese needs to be at room temperature so you can easily whip it otherwise it’s really hard to get it the right consistency.
Add the apples to the cream cheese mix and place in fridge.
Enjoy!
