DIY Handmade Easter Card

Contributing Writer: Kelly Griglione from Notable Nest

No bunny stamps? No cute little chicks? Not even a stamp with a basket of eggs?

No problem.

While very cute, you certainly don’t need to buy Easter-themed products to create a beautiful Easter card to give someone special. Just pick some Springtime colors, any kind of line stamp, and you’re halfway there to creating your own Easter plaid.

Don’t forget to follow along via your favorite social network :Twitter,Pinterest orFacebook and our readers preferred way via email.

First, put two pieces of copy paper at the beginning and end of where you want your plaid. This is called a mask, and serves to prevent any ink from going beyond those edges. Stamp pink lines across the card.

Then stamp green lines perpendicular to the pink lines. Now comes the fun part … remove the copy paper masks to reveal your nice and neat block of plaid.

Add a bow, some chipboard letters (stickers or stamps work just fine too), any additional stamps, and you’ve got a perfectly appropriate Easter card without having to buy any Easter supplies.

Thanks so much for looking!

-Kelly
