The Cozy Little Kitchen is a comfy blog where I open up my home and share some of the joys in my life! When visiting you’ll find some of my favorite recipes and personal cooking tips, seasonal inspiration, family stories and passion for my Lord, Jesus Christ. My husband is my biggest blessing, and we recently bought our first house, a 1945 charmer that has its share of character and quirks that we love! This blog shares a bit of my journey as I grow in my walk with Christ and in my adventures as a new homemaker. Faith and Family are what my life is built around, and I warmly welcome you as a Friend into my kitchen!
Some of The Cozy Little Kitchen’s “best-loved” recipes are my comfort-style desserts. I’m usually the one who’s asked to bring the dessert, and I have several delicious recipes. Here are a few of the reader’s favorites!
My Caramel Apple Cake is an incredibly delicious cake that is perfect for fall. It’s a spice cake that’s chock full of apples and covered in a veil of homemade caramel frosting! It’s an easy recipe that looks impressive for a special occasion.
I’ve had a huge response from my Cozy Brown Sugar Bars that are ridiculously easy to make and a huge hit wherever I take them! I tend to make them more in the winter months for a treat with coffee.
The most visited recipe of all time and personal favorite, is my Chocolate Chip Ooey Gooey Butter Cake! It’s a Paula Deen recipe…what more can I say?! It’s the ultimate indulgence and perfect for your chocolate cravings. If you try any recipe out, it should be this one!
My blog has become dear to me over the years. It’s allowed my creativity to flourish as I’m more anxious to try new recipes to share with my blogging friends. I try to give an honest approach into my baking by taking pictures as I go to help explain the instructions more clearly. I think taking the time to get nice pictures of my food and my home is a great way to connect myself to readers!
My husband and I both grew up in God-loving families that hold family traditions close to heart. I think the “good-life” isn’t attained by means of money and extravagance, but by showing love to the people in your life and finding great joy in life’s simple pleasures! The seasons and holidays have always been a big deal to us. As much as we can, our families will get together for these festive celebrations. From Summer baseball games, Autumn apple picking and cozy campfires to cookie baking, tree decorating and movie nights at Christmas….these times are when cherished memories are made! I find true contentment when I surround yourself with loved ones. My husband and I may not have children yet, but that doesn’t stop us from already making our own family traditions with each other!
As a new reader, you may not know that I’m a small-town, country girl living in the city with my husband–Mr. Cozy– as he completes his pediatric residency. We love children and can’t wait for that blessing one day!
